The hotel is very centrally located, clean and beautiful. Breakfast is very good and the staff were very accommodating.The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated. We were very pleased with this choice. Very close to tour buses and restuarants.

Would not recommend this hotel. Staff are not freindly and not helpful at all. Room we were staid, n.412, had problem with bathtop, first of all was not clean and had problem to run water throug and water was stocked in the bath top for 2 days before they fixed it. Was not possible to take a shower. Surpisingly the staff even didnt offer to change that room to another one. The problem with shower happened two times during our 4 day stay. Absolutely not accepatable formt he hotel to treat their guests that way and not been helpfull even to book a taxi

A good looking hotel with an uncomfortable stay

This hotel looks very continental with large open areas. Entrance is large and inviting and doesn’t look cheap. Let’s break down the review: Staff: 5/5. The staff were great. Welcoming and attentive. No issues. Room: 2/5. The room ‘looks’ great and very professional. From the offset it’s very nice great for a business trip, but it’s quite outdated. The toilet was leaking from somewhere, very evident from the water underneath from each flush. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable but most of all the outdated air conditioning wasn’t working. I booked 3 rooms and although i thought it was just mine, at breakfast I realised that the AC in all 3 rooms would only blow warm air making the room very warm, claustrophobic and muggy. Each of us woke up very dehydrated. Breakfast: 5/5. No issue with the breakfast. Standard continental and hot food. Over it will receive a 2/5 as although all the amenities were fine, the bedroom which is the primary focus was uncomfortable, warm and had a leaking toilet.

Room and bath adequate size. Bed had plastic on mattress (noisy and uncomfortable), pillows barely there. Worst part: HVAC heating/cooling and fan air movement NOT WITHIN YOUR CONTROL. The room was stiflingly hot and NO air movement. It was unbearable, impossible to sleep. The phone was never connected so did not work. Front desk said that they control heat/air. It is winter so they do not put AC on....but when I told them about no air movement, they sent up a small fan to help. Never experienced this before. If you won't allow any adjustment to heat/cooling or FAN, REMOVE the wall unit so people know.

The hotel is lovely. The reception and bar area are great and very welcoming. The breakfeast area is nice and a good selection from the buffet. Cold meats and cheese, fruits, Cereal, yoghurt, pastries and hot food, bacon, eggs, sausages, beans. A really good selection. The hotel is massively let down by not having air conditioning at this time of the year. I understand it is winter, but winter in London v lisbon is very different. It was 20oC most days and and warmer inside on the 6th floor, and the air con doesn't work till march time. Therefore you have to open a window, which is OK it does cool the room down but still uncomfortable to sleep in. The main issue is the noise. I slept for about 4h a night on and off due to the noise of the road outside. The road it's on is a cul de sac, which means the noise is echoing from the main road next to the hotel. Bin men at 3am right outside the hotel. Street racing, emergency services, buses, pedestrian crossing beeping and the bar right next door. Unfortunately these issue seriously let the hotel down. If you value your sleep and need a quiet cool room then do not stay here. However if you are from a warmer climate and enjoy the heat then do stay here. Its a beautifull place but not right for me. Also is states it has an evening restaurant, but this isn't open with no signs of that happening. They were very nice in providing us with some treats in our room for our honeymoon.
